YELLOWSTONE IN WINTER - An Amazing Adventure!

Under Yellowstone’s quiet mantle of snow, a variety of wildlife descends to the valleys from the mountains in search of food and the warmer geothermal areas.

And all around us are pristine classic winter scenes.

- Bison, elk, fox, coyotes, wolves, moose, bighorn sheep, and pronghorn are just some of the wildlife we will hope to see.

- Brilliantly colored geothermal areas look even more beautiful against the bright white snow.

- Aboard our private spacious snow coach, we will travel into the interior of the park on several days to find spectacular landscapes, geysers, and wildlife. We will see areas that many do not see in winter.

- On other days, where travel by traditional vehicles is possible, you will be transported in our comfortable vans with plenty of room to spread out.

We will cover a wide range of areas within the national park, starting along the northern tier of the park, famous for its large herds of bison and elk in the Lamar Valley. There is also a good possibility of pronghorn and wolf sightings. Also in this section of the park is Mammoth Hot Springs with its tiered travertine terraces.. We will spend time exploring these northern sections of the park from Gardiner to Cooke City in search of wildlife and landscapes in our comfortable vehicles.

Then we will shift locations to West Yellowstone and spend several days exploring the western and central sections of the park via our large private snow coach. A snow coach is a specialized passenger vehicle that moves us safely and effortlessly across the snow, getting us to pristine areas for more great shooting of wildlife, geothermal areas, and landscapes. In this area of the park are more bison, coyote, and likely eagles, trumpeter swans, and more. And we will have opportunities to get up close and personal to erupting geysers, and steaming colorful geothermal features.

HOW IS THIS ADVENTURE DIFFERENT FROM WHAT OTHERS OFFER? 1. Three full days of over-snow travel deep into the park on heated spacious snow coaches for just our group. Very few photo tours offer this feature. Our snow coaches are chartered for just our group so we can go where we want when we want. This is in addition to our private vehicles to transport us to other areas of the park where roads are cleared of snow. 2. Evening image critiques with Lightroom tips. 3. Two experienced pro photographers as leaders. 4. In-the-field training and guidance each and every day. 5. Personalized attention to help you get the best images possible.
