About Mollie

I am passionate about photography AND about sharing that passion with others. I love both the artistic side and the technical side of photography. It takes a combination of both aspects to help create visually appealing images. And after all, visual appeal is what it is all about!

I did not discover my love for photography until after college and after marriage. I loved black-and-white photographs, and was fortunate early on to have studied briefly with Ansel Adams. One of his comments got me on the right track. He was reviewing my portfolio, and looked at an image taken at an old railway station. I was standing on the platform, aiming the camera down at the tracks. At the edge of the platform, in the foreground of the image, was a painted line with the words “Stay Back Of This Line.” He said that was exactly what I was doing with my photography. He said I was not letting my photography represent me, but instead was holding myself back, trying to fit into some sort of “standard.”.

While that was hard to hear at the time, it was a crucial turning point in my photographic journey. And now, years later, I am still discovering new and exciting ways to tap into my creativity and style. And not holding back! That is exactly what I hope to do for you. I want you to embrace your innate creativity, your uniqueness, and allow your creativity to soar. No fear, no holding back. Find the REAL photographic you!

In my career I have been fortunate to have won awards, photographed some famous people, been published, traveled to many beautiful and exciting places, and taught and worked with many clients and students just like you. The details are below, but all of that is less important than the journey I have been on all this time to find and express my own vision, and then to share that with you.

It is sharing all that with you that makes all of this so wonderful and fulfilling. I hope you will join me on a photo workshop, a trip, or an online webinar.

I will endeavor to inspire you with excitement, enthusiasm, and a passion for your own creativity.
