GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK - WILDFLOWERS & WILDWATER April 6 - 11, 2025
DEPOSIT $1500 (deposit $1500 - total trip fee $3495) Balance of $1995 due by January 24, 2025
IN SPRINGTIME THE GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS COME ALIVE!
WILDFLOWERS ARE IN BLOOM, AND STREAMS ARE FULL.
One of the best places to be in the spring is the GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK. This workshop is timed to catch some of the best wildflowers in the world. With over 1500 species of wildflowers in the park, we are sure to see some spectacular blooms.
It is also the time when the streams are flowing fast and artistic moving water shots are easy to get.
We will concentrate on a variety of creative approaches to photographing wildflowers, moving water, mountain scenes, and a few historic buildings here and there. We also hope to have some wildlife sightings like black bear, coyote, and more. And of course what is a photo workshop without some sunrise opportunities?! In the Smokies, every day is different and brings its own special treasures.
For any photo trip or workshop, creature comforts play an important role as well. We will stay in our own private large lodge overlooking the Smokies. Each person or couple will have their own large bedroom with private bath. The lodge also has nice seating areas, a large kitchen, and beautiful views of the mountains.
We will be based on the “quiet side” of the Smokies near the town of Townsend, Tennessee. That location gives us fast and easy access to the park, and allows us to avoid the crowds in nearby larger towns.
Our time together will be packed with great photo ops, some Lightroom teaching sessions, and so much more!
So join me at this magical time in the Smokies. I am eager to show you some of my favorite tucked away locations, and help you get spectacular images.
